# API requests

For any data sources you can't connect directly to with SQL, we recommend using API requests via Python or JavaScript. Alternatively, you can [import Excel files](/import-data/import-excel-files.md), [drag and drop CSVs](/import-data/drag-and-drop-.csv.md), or [let us know if you need help](https://quadratichq.com/contact) with the specific data source you're trying to connect.
